ICICI RSETI Jodhpur has been contributing in a big way in providing livelihood opportunities to the underprivileged rural youth through short term skill training program in the trades best suited to them. Show More »It is indeed noteworthy that the training methodology and the best practices followed by the RSETI are unique thereby resulting in a high settlement rate of the trained candidates. Training at the doorstep through well-equipped satellite centres at the block level and making available tool kits to all the trainees to facilitate their on the job training in their chosen field are some of the best practices of ICICI RSETIs which other RSETIs should emulate. Show More »Apart from social and economic development, it is especially gratifying for me to know that environmental impacts are, given equal importance at the Foundation. The ICICI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) at Jodhpur, Rajasthan is an epitome of this. This institute has the rare distinction of being an IGBC Platinum-rated Net Zero Energy Building.
I, was most impressed by the simple, cost-effective green measures at RSETI such as the use of local Jodhpur stone for masonry, Vilayati Babool for furniture, gravity light as a clean alternative to kerosene, prototype gym cycle to generate electricity, solar distiller for purifying water, solar pipe to harness sunlight and many more.
